Full time, direct hire Medical Communications and Publications Manager (remote)

Pay rate: $100, 000 base salary

Our client, a leading digital health company based in Austin, TX, is hiring a Medical Communications and Publications Manager to join their Medical Affairs team! You will be responsible for delivering high-quality clinical/scientific content to support publications and medical education materials. This can include but is not limited to product pages and/or consumer articles, results interpretation, slide decks, peer-reviewed manuscripts, and posters. Our client offers a variety of tests (endocrinology, cardiovascular, STIs, women s health, and more), so having experience in a range of clinical domains is a plus.

Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Medical Affairs, you will be instrumental to growing consumer education and building credibility in the medical community. You ll also have the opportunity to support Clinical Science initiatives like clinical trials, abstract development, and literature review.

What You'll Do:

  • Conduct literature review for at-home collection methods and testing opportunities
  • Utilize research to create data-driven medical content or publications
  • Develop medical education that can be used pre-purchase or post-results
  • Ensure content aligns with customer or physician needs
  • Maintain scientific and clinical accuracy across all content deliverables
  • Able to work effectively on multiple projects across departments
  • Participate and lead content review, ensuring all stakeholders needs are met
  • Serve as a liaison between the Medical Affairs and Clinical Science teams, and direct the planning and execution of medical and scientific publications
  • Ensure publications adhere to policies and procedures/SOPs and meet the industry standards
Who You Are:
  • 3-5 years experience in clinical research and/or pharmaceuticals as a medical writer
  • Bachelor s degree in a scientific discipline. Advanced degree (MS, PhD) strongly preferred.
  • Strong medical writing and editorial skills
  • Prior experience in a fast-paced startup environment a plus
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.E. Excel, Word, Powerpoint)
  • Incredible attention to detail, structured thinking and organizational skills
  • Collaborative across multiple functional areas
  • Enjoy creative problem solving, literature review, and data-driven insights
  • Effective communication with complex medical and scientific information
  • Patient (or consumer) focused mindset, and eagerness to improve healthcare
