We are a fast-growing company in the spirits category. How fast? Fast. We've doubled
in size every year since our inception. And we're just getting started. Do you have what
it takes to help take a dynamic, growing brand to the next level in a highly competitive
category? If so, we want to buy you a drink (and talk to you). We're looking for a
Recruiter who can source people nationally to help us staff our growing brand. You
should have several years of relevant experience, with the ability to quickly find viable
candidates anywhere in the country. Your expertise doesn't end there, though. More on
that in a minute.

Enough about you, let's talk about us.
We're Desert Door. We make a really unique distilled liquor called Texas Sotol and we
think it's one of the most amazing spirits on the market (but of course we do). We're a
small company, built from scratch by our three founders, whose driving vision is to
produce the highest quality booze to come out of Texas. We're a young company but
we're very proud of our product and of what we've been able to accomplish in the short time we've been around. Let's be clear here - we are not a 2 billion dollar liquor brand. We are a scrappy, resourceful, hard-working band of outlaws and we've gotten where we are with a lot of blood and sweat and no small amount of luck. All of us at Desert Door wear multiple hats. None of us are afraid to roll up our sleeves. We're a
passionate bunch. We work hard but also play hard.

As a company, we're on a very good trajectory but recognize there's much work to be
done. And we're looking for just the right person to help get us to the next level.

The Recruiter Role
Let's get a few things out of the way. We assume you are an excellent communicator,
have good time management, are highly detail oriented ad used to deadlines, a team
player, skilled problem-solver, etc.

Your principal duties are to schedule and complete a consistent volume of phone
interviews on a daily basis. You will be posting jobs and arranging interviews with
candidates from across the country. You must have a professional demeanor, a positive disposition and be an excellent representative of the Desert Door brand. We are not just looking for order takers - we expect you to have a strong grasp of our brand and bring good insights to the table. You should be able to make fast decisions, set goals, make a plan and execute. And yes, this is a work from home position. You will frequent interaction with candidates of all levels, as well as HR and Desert Door stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
You will be working with cross-functional managers to draft job descriptions, calibrate
searches, review applications/resumes, and expedite hiring for a high volume of open
positions.

  • Actively seek out and connect with highly qualified candidates for current and future roles at Desert Door.
  • Conduct a high volume of phone interviews and record candidate responses in

screening template.

  • Maintain applicant tracking system, ensuring all candidates are current and provide

weekly reports.

  • Guide candidates through every step of our interview process and ensure we are

viewed as a first-choice opportunity.

  • Arrange candidate travel as directed.
  • Help ensure that the Desert Door employer brand continues to attract high-caliber

candidates.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, where responsibilities can

change. Adaptability is a must.

  • 2+ years of recruiting experience/talent acquisition in customer/client facing role
  • Associates Degree or higher required.
  • Proficiency with the Google's suite of applications.
  • Strong experience with LinkedIN Recruiter, Indeed, and other major job posting sites.
  • Must have experience handling and maintaining confidential employee information.
  • You may be asked on occasion to travel to our HQ in Austin, Texas for training,

company functions, etc. Travel and expenses will be covered.

Additional Requirements:

  • Please be comfortable spending long hours on the phone, wearing a headset and

always putting forth a positive persona.

  • You must be able to type responses in an understandable manner. You must be

able to express yourself articulately and concisely as you will be communicating
with managers/execs at different levels.

  • You must be comfortable wearing different hats and pitching in when needed. If

you're the type of person who routinely says, 'not my job,' then this is in fact, not the
job for you.

Pay: $36,000.00 - $78,000.00 per year
