OVERVIEW OF RESPONSIBILITIES
To improve lives in our community by advancing United Way's goals; by mobilizing and deepening resources to enhance the Education, Financial Stability and Health outcomes of individuals and families so they can achieve their potential and contribute to the community. The coordinator provides administrative and project management duties in support of and to advance community impact, volunteer engagement and facilitates community and relationship-building with community partners and key stakeholders. The coordinator researches community-wide issues and provides relevant data to support UWGBACC's funding goals. The coordinator must be results-oriented, high energy and inspiring. Responsibilities of this position are critically important to maintaining the efficiency and quality of the day-to-day work that underlies United Way's impact in the community.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Agency/Community Partnership Coordination (25%)
* Support collective action with related research and evaluation, data analysis, technical support and capacity building techniques to ensure each investment achieves desired impact.
* Be the agency cheerleader to engage, manage and track agency participation.
* Coordinate agency site visits to monitor and assess CI programs as assigned by the Director.
* Attend relevant agency functions as required by the Director.
Volunteer Coordination (30%)
* Become the virtual volunteer center, Volunteer Connect expert to include managing the virtual volunteer center, training agencies who use the site, and providing communications through the site.
* Assist with volunteer recruitment, retention and recognition.
* Assist with the preparation and delivery of various volunteer training materials.
* Assist with the creation of volunteer opportunities that have impact on UWGBACC's effectiveness in, and provide an overall benefit to the community.
* Serve as a UWGBACC representative and ambassador, conveying the needs of the community to encourage individual contributions, advocacy, community and volunteer involvement.
Planning and Management of Initiatives (20%)
* Plan community initiatives in collaboration with Team United including, but not limited to the annual Days of Caring. Assist in coordinating all logistics to ensure a successfully executed initiative/event.
* Identify appropriate vendors/suppliers and manage orders and purchases related to community initiatives. Serve as primary liaison with vendors/suppliers.
* Manage project budgets; track and document all expenses and revenue.
* Recruit volunteers and direct registration to Volunteer Connect.
* Support outreach logistics, including partner outreach, community engagement, registration processes, correspondence, and post -event data entry.
* Manage post initiative/event follow-up, including committee debriefs and thank you notes.
Data / Administrative (25%)
* Support the Director of Community Impact to meet all goals, support volunteers and committees, and provide relevant reporting and analysis.
* Manage the community impact inventory and calendar to include events, meetings, trainings and reporting dates.
* Develop proficiency with the organizational grant management software.
* Support grant and contract management across CI initiatives, including written agreements, invoices, reports and payments.
* Provide support for grant management and the funding process.
* Support cross-departmental communication efforts.
* Identify opportunities to publicize CI initiatives and milestones both internally and externally through social media, newsletters and other channels in collaboration with the United Way team.
* Develop a deep level of understanding of community needs and resources.
* Provide administrative support as requested for Community Impact trainings or meetings including meeting coordination, assistance with preparation of materials, volunteer management and communications and administrative support of related partnership initiatives.
* Manage centralized repository of CI project reports and outcomes.
* Prepare Community Impact grant reports.
* Maintain current, detailed records of all Community Impact grants.
* Research best practices and solutions to community-wide issues as they relate to UWGBACC's focus areas.
* Assist with the development of community impact marketing materials and communications.
* Assist with general office support: phone, events, and meetings

Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree and one year minimal experience working in sales/marketing. (Required)
* United Way or other nonprofit experience (Desired). Knowledge of the community and bilingual is a plus.
* Excellent public speaking and written communication skills. (Required)
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel) (Required)
* Must be able to manage a variety of projects and programs and able to analyze, interpret and prepare data for internal and external use.
* Must be able to effectively organize and present information in group settings to instill confidence and increase overall engagement.
* Must be able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
* Must be a high-energy individual with a positive outlook.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
* Constantly uses vision abilities including: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
* Frequently exchanges information in person and/or in writing via telephone and computer
* Employee is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms, talk and hear.
* Frequently operates a computer and other office machinery to compile and retrieve information, etc. to draft and write, to handle paperwork
* Periodic travel is required. Must have a valid driver's license, automobile insurance, and a reliable vehicle.
* Occasionally positions self to reach files, binders, etc. above the head and/or near the floor.
* Occasionally must lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
* Occasional work outside of normal business hours.
