Job Summary

We are looking for an effective Warehouse Manager to direct receiving, distribution and warehousing operations. This individual will oversee the efficient receipt, storage and dispatch of a wide variety of products, ensuring productivity targets are achieved and all warehouse processes are running smoothly and promptly.

Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

  • Strategically manages warehouse in compliance with company's policies and vision
  • Oversees receiving, warehousing, distribution and maintenance operations
  • Complies with federal, state, and local warehousing, material handling, and shipping requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements and advising management on needed actions
  • Safeguards warehouse operations and contents by establishing and monitoring security procedures and protocols
  • Controls inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciling with data storage system
  • Maintains physical condition of warehouse by planning and implementing new design layouts, inspecting equipment, issuing repairs and replacements
  • Completes warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Maintains warehouse staff by recruiting, selecting training and motivating employees
  • Coaches, counsels and disciplines employees to meet goals and obtain results
  • Interacts wih clients, suppliers and transport companies
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks and participating in professional societies

Qualifications

  • Experience in warehouse management procedures and best practices
  • Proven ability to implement process improvement initiatives
  • Hands on experience with Epicor Eclipse warehouse management software
  • Leadership skills and ability manage staff
  • Strong decision making and problem solving skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Results driven and customer focused
  • Ability to maintain positive relationships with internal team members, vendors and customers
  • Have, or quickly develop, a comprehensive knowledge of product and industry
  • Experience in safety management and inventory control

Education and Experience

  • BS degree in logistics, supply chain management or business administration
  • 3-5 years warehouse management experience
  • 1-2 years experience with Epicor Eclipse ERP software

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $52,000.00 per year
