Job description

Raytheon Technologies RI&S Integrated Business Planning team is looking for a business analyst / data scientist focused on the development and deployment of systems solutions designed to improve performance in the planning and execution of our contracts. Primary areas of focus will include alignment and optimization of financial and operational plans, maximizing performance capabilities, identifying risks, and delivering predictive indicators for business decisions. Our team collaborates closely with operations, supply chain, factory, and other core manufacturing execution functions to identify supply and demand risks and make recommendations through complex data models, simulations, and visualizations. The role offers opportunity to participate in the long range strategic planning process as well as the opportunity to solve unique business problems that arise on ad hoc basis.

The ideal candidate needs to be passionate about driving action through facts and data, possess the ability to effectively organize and distill data, proactively ask appropriate questions to understand hypotheses and requests, and visualize and communicate complex data in a compelling manner to a variety of audience s. The candidate will need to build strong partnerships and networks across the organization to have a meaningful impact.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Architect, implement, and deploy data-driven systems solutions
  • Generate models to optimize factory productivity, customer satisfaction, and attainment of financial targets given a set of constantly changing supply constraints
  • Effectively plan and collaborate with technical and non-technical teams on business initiatives to solve complex problems
  • Use analytical process, tools, and models to provide predictive analysis to facilitate problem resolution and risk mitigation
  • Create intuitive visualizations to communicate analytical results
  • Develop and manage data infrastructure supporting multiple reports, tools, and systems
Requirements:
  • 2+ years of applicable experience
  • Proficiency in filtering, extracting, transforming, and analyzing information from large, complex, and unstructured datasets
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to ex plain technical concepts and analysis implications to influence diverse audiences
  • Self-motivated and proactive problem solver with demonstrated creative and critical thinking capabilities
  • Ability to learn and understand complex systems and processes
  • Knowledge of database structures and designs
  • Knowledge of statistical analysi s methods
  • Experience with advanced Excel (pivot tables, power query)
  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, Power BI
  • Experience with MS SQL or other database systems
  • Experience with Python, R or other programming languages
  • U.S. Citizenship is required as the position requires the ability to access U.S. only data systems
Desired Skills
  • Experience with data management, data cleansing, and validating reports from disparate systems
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, demanding, and remote environment
  • Ability to work independently with good organizational and time-management skills
  • Experience working with statistical models and machine learning algorithms
  • Experience using MRP/ERP systems (SAP preferred)
  • Understanding of manufacturing and supply chain processes
  • Experience using VBA, C#, Python, or Alteryx
  • Experience in SQL, ODBC, and relational database design and implementation
Required Education
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or related technical field.

Desired Education
  • Master's degree or equivalent in engineering, computer science, applied mathematics, economics, or related technical field.
