- As part of our interview process, we will be using a video interviewing platform, Spark Hire. The video interviewing platform will allow our hiring team and candidates to connect more quickly without the pressure of synchronizing calendars for our initial phase of candidate assessments. Job Summary
As an Outbound ISV (Independent Software Vendors) Business Development Representative, your role is to identify prospects through outbound calling efforts, qualify them, and distribute sales qualified leads to account executives. You maintain strong knowledge of all products and service features. You develop new business opportunities by identifying prospect lists and qualifying those given to you by leveraging the Stax Connect value proposition. This position is commissioned and quota based.
Key Responsibilities & Objectives
Understand prospects needs and help them discover how our products meet those needs
Follow sales cadences to qualify leads and create opportunities for the business development sales team
Achieve quota
Qualify outbound leads
Regularly research prospect opportunities for breakthrough opportunities
Regularly research top competitors and industry news
Detailed record keeping within HubSpot
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
You are comfortable with cold calling
You don't take rejection personally. You are fearless and realize sales development is about pushing through the "no" to get to the "yes".
You are able to work independently
You possess a competitive spirit and desire to meet and exceed sales goals
You have excellent communication skills
You are comfortable making 600+ contacts a month (50% by email, 50% by phone)
You have the ability to effectively work with a matrixed team of sales and marketing professionals
You are motivated to become a subject matter expert (SME) for the team around sales development
You have an ability to work under pressure in fast-paced environment with aggressive quota deadlines
You have strong attention to detail
You are solution-oriented with the ability to think strategically and creatively in decision-making
You are coachable and you are able to take direction and feedback well, yet being forward-thinking to challenge the status quo
Occasional Travel
