BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALES REPRESENTATIVE

JOB DESCRIPTION
Today's Vision Licensing Corporation seeks an experienced Business Development/Sales Representative to recruit new licensees in Houston and other Texas cities to join its association of independent optometry offices. This individual will primarily be responsible for finding and recruiting licensees as well as overseeing their onboarding to TVLC. TVLC has a two-tier membership system including full participation (either new start-up or established practices) and a more limited buying group affiliation. This is a ground-floor position with opportunity to chart your own course. Experience interacting with optometrists and/or medical doctors not mandatory but would be helpful.
BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT/SALES REPRESENTATIVE JOB DUTIES
Duties include but are not limited to:
1) Responsible for all aspects of new and existing licensee recruitment and onboarding once licensee joins organization.
2) Helps devise and oversee marketing programs and materials - with direction of the Vice President and assistance of marketing consultant - to identify prospects and sell the benefits of TVLC participation.
3) Works with preferred vendor partners, existing licensees and other sources to find leads
4) Responsible for introducing the benefits of TVLC via cold calling, emails, visits, etc.
5) Devises and executes follow-up plans to convince doctors to join TVLC
6) Creates system for maintaining and updating prospect information
7) Introduces active prospects to President & selected Board members for final approval
8) For start-up practices, facilitate selection of open service area, introduce broker and financing partners, and once site selected provide construction timeline and introduce related vendors
9) Secures license agreement and entry fee payment
10) Reviews demographic data and compares to TVLC site selection model to propose service area for Board approval (and inclusion in the license agreement).
11) Oversees onboarding of new licensees including setting up TVLC benefits and marshaling other internal resources.
12) Monitor competition and their benefits/costs.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP
- Ultimately responsible to the Board President
- Will work closely with the Board Vice President
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION
- College Degree or higher education
EXPERIENCE:
- Minimum of three to five years sales experience
- Selling to Health Care Professionals and/or Business Owners/Management preferred

- Must have automobile (mileage reimbursed)
- Some overnight travel to Texas cities (examples: San Antonio, Austin, Dallas)
- Position is Houston-based
TIME REQUIREMENTS
- Some evening business dinners likely
- Limited weekend meetings
OTHER CRITERIA
- Must be able to pass criminal history review
- Must pass drug test
COMPENSATION
- Compensation package ranges from $50K to $100K depending on experience.

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
