Job description
The Director of Business Development directs the business development activities of the organization and drives the new sales business for the company playing a key role in the company's bottom line. Builds market position by locating, developing, defining, negotiating, and closing business relationships - specifically in the Chemicals segment.
Comprehensive knowledge of the concrete construction market that utilizes concrete accessories and chemicals.
Develop go-to-market / channel strategy to profitably sell products.
Develop market segment business plan including but not limited to
Define market needs/requirements.
Define competitive situation.
Match applicable product portfolio to target markets / end-users.
Set-up work with distributorships throughout the US to successfully service the market.
Prospect for potential new clients and turn this into increased business.
Develop strategy and plan to ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
Meet potential clients by growing, maintaining, and leveraging a network of contacts.
Identify potential clients, and the decision-makers within the client organization.
Research and build relationships with new clients.
Work with team to develop proposals that speak to the client's needs, concerns, and objectives.
Participate in pricing decisions.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
BA/BS degree in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing, engineering, or a related field
Minimum 10 years experience in sales (inside or outside)
