Job description
Parker & Lynch is looking to fill a Director of Finance position with a 4 billion dollar Pre-IPO company based out of Dallas. The ideal candidate will act as the tactical and strategic finance partner to all the business units. This candidate will assess the organization performance against both the annual budget and company's long term strategy. The role will consist of accountabilities in strategy, finance operations, and team management. The ideal candidate is a Finance Manager looking to take their next step in their career.
Job Duties include:
-Partner with the different business units on all operational and strategic issues as they arise and provide strategic recommendations to the Manager based on financial analysis and projections, cost identification and allocation, and revenue/expense analysis.
-Participate in the ongoing strategic planning process as an integral member of the senior management team.
-Oversee long-term budgetary planning and cost management in alignment with the company's strategic plan.
-Engage cross functional leaders to align financial management with short- and long-term financial planning and projections.
-Oversee budgeting, and the implementation of budgets, so as to monitor progress and present operational metrics both internally and externally.
-Ensure that finance staff maintains financial record systems in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, and monitor the use of all funds.
-Develop and manage direct staff, to include two senior financial analysts and one financial analyst.
Qualifications:
-MBA is a plus
-At least 8-12 years of related professional experience
-Demonstrate excellence in managing finance, accounting, budgeting, control and reporting.
-Detailed knowledge and understanding of financial statements and their relationships
-Demonstrate experience in financial modeling (integrated income statement, balance sheet and cash flow)
-Ability to read, analyze, and interpret financial reports and legal documents
-Experience with Hyperion Essbase is preferred
