Job description

The Bastian Solutions Mobile Robotics team is looking for a Fabricator to oversee the general fabrication of steel, aluminum, and stainless-steel parts. The main emphasis for this position is operating a water jet machine, with secondary emphasis on operating a tapping arm, manual countersink, horizontal / vertical saw, manual bending, parts debur, occasional sand blasting and touch up spray painting. A Fabricator will be responsible for maintaining tolerances and dimensions specified by drawings and to perform water jet maintenance to minimize downtime and to ensure high quality. A Fabricator will typically have 1-2 years of experience in the fabrication field.

General Job Duties

· Work individually using drawings, nesting software, water jet software and the water jet machine to create parts efficiently

· Proper use of a manual tapping arm to tap holes in aluminum and steel

· Setup and drill countersink holes on occasional parts

· Repair and maintain shop equipment and facilities as required

· Be a team player and driven contributor in shop as well as assembly when needed

· Show mutual respect for coworkers

· Show up to work every day and on time

· Any and all job duties as assigned to include helping with assembly of finished product

· Follow safety protocols per JSA (Job Safety Analysis)

Requirements

• High School education
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and develop finished product from them
• General knowledge of fabrication equipment including horizontal / vertical saws, manual lathes, manual mills, drill press, sand blaster, forklift, drilling and tapping
• Welding skills preferred but not necessary
• Occasional overtime required when necessary

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
