Position Summary
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
The New Business Sales Assistant is responsible for sales administration, clerical and supportive sales development duties that sustain the efforts of the of Sales and the Sales Executives responsible for selling or retaining employer group health benefits and agent certification to sell ABA services. This position includes Plan Document completion and ID card development for groups.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Owns the on-boarding process & gathering of all outstanding new business requirements. Disseminates appropriately to internal departments
- Coordinates communication and training between implementation and other internal teams during the onboarding process
- Takes ownership of customer inquiries/requests during onboarding, and sees them through to resolution by researching issues and overseeing available resources to resolve these issues to the maximum extent possible
- Communicates regularly with sales team
- Communicate status updates to internal and external parties
- Inserting sold Plan Design into Plan Document templates
- Inserting sold Plan Design into SBC template
- Designing ID Cards
- Working closely with the ID card vendor
- ID cards will be worked daily and must be correct before sent to the clients
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High School Diploma
- Strong customer orientation with an eye toward resolving customer issues
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities/task simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
- 2 years experience in carrier, TPA, or agency environment, including working knowledge of Sales/Operations
- Demonstrated ability to handle administrative details and routine day-to-day issues independently, assuming responsibility with minimal supervision
- Strong computer proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Extremely Detail Oriented
- Extremely organized
- Must be in the office on a daily basis
