Job description
Excellent opportunity for a Regional Billing Manager in a rapidly growing professional services organization in the Dallas office. This position reports to the Director of Billing Operations. This position will supervise Billing Coordinators' and Senior Billing Coordinators'.CORE RESPONSIBILITES· Effectively oversee and manage all time and billing processes (in accordance with firm policy and practice), including among others:· Generating pre-bills and client invoices (in printed and electronic form);· Responding to client and attorney inquiries in a professional, timely manner;· Applying unapplied cash and trust monies in a timely manner;· Managing month-end and year-end processes; and· Following established discount and hold approval protocols.· Effectively lead and manage related staff, including assigning and monitoring workloads, arranging for coverage or assistance as needed, recommending training and development, and preparing performance evaluations.· Ensure client and billing attorney documentation is consistently and continuously updated.· Work with your staff and attorneys to improve their knowledge and use of firm provided tools.· Consistently and effectively perform accounts payable and/or cash receipts responsibilities in accordance with established policies and practices.· Work effectively with all Finance & Accounting (F&A) functions to deliver high quality, accurate, timely, seamless service to attorneys and clients, in accordance with established firm policies.· Maintain high levels of customer service and responsiveness for attorneys, clients, vendors and staff.· Consistently identify and recommend improvements, streamlining and best practices for all related functions, processes, deliverables and policies.· Exercise appropriate discretion and independent judgment in the execution of the above duties.JOB REQUIREMENTS: · Ten years of billing experience and three years of management experience with a law firm or comparable experience in a corporate legal billing department.· Experience with Elite/3E is preferred.· Demonstrated leadership experience, including excellent interpersonal and collaborative skills, strategic and innovative thinking, and persuasion and influencing, possessing professional presence and the ability to build enthusiasm and commitment.
