GENERAL FUNCTION
The Internal Audit (IA) department of Luxottica Group is a dynamic entry point into the global organization. The IA team has a strong history and expectation of producing future leaders for the global Luxottica organization. Individuals within IA develop their business acumen, obtain a strong internal control mindset and acquire a deep understanding of the Luxottica business. After spending a few years as a member of the IA team, many individuals transition to other local or global roles within the company. Potential candidates are expected to be self-motivated and interested in a long-term career path with Luxottica Group.
MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
* Works independently and in a team environment in the completion of audit projects.
* Takes a lead role in the company's annual control testing program in order to meet various global governmental compliance regulations.
* Meets with auditees to communicate audit results and recommendations.
* Seeks to develop and maintain effective business relationships and partnerships with audited areas to ensure mutual understanding of audit scope, procedures, and project progress.
* Coordinates workstreams with the company's external auditors for control testing purposes.
* Proactively provides periodic updates to management and the departmental VP regarding status of audits and other projects in process.
* Mentors departmental staff and interns on a day-to-day basis.
* Develops skills necessary for advancement to other opportunities within the company or within the Internal Audit team.
* Participates in global internal audit engagements and projects as necessary.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
* Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Finance
* 4-6 years of experience in external or internal audit roles with a desire to move into a managerial role within a short period of time
* Strong interpersonal and writing skills to be used in various forms of communication with top leaders.
* Ability and desire to travel both within the US and internationally up to 15% of the time.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
* CPA, CIA, CISA
* Big 4 experience strongly preferred
* Insurance or Retail experience
* Spanish language skills a significant plus
* SAP and / or Facets experience
* Data analytics
