Description Job Family: FinanceThe Finance organization is responsible for leading and participating in a number of critical functions including: supporting executive management decisions making by analyzing results, assessing strategic alternatives and developing strategic plans; communicating financial results and forecasts with critical stakeholders, including executive management and Board of Directors, shareholders and regulators; managing the Company's balance sheet, including interest rate and liquidity risks; establishes the Company's capital policies and prioritizes investments; develops and implements controls to reduce operational risk; developing and maintaining financial data and systems. The Finance organization works across functions and Business lines in the Company, requiring a broad understanding of our business, risk and strategy.Job Function: TreasuryManages and analyzes cash funds and debt on behalf of the company. Formulates and updates policies and guidelines on the planning and management of the company's monetary resources. Ensures optimization of income and proper investments. Plans and sources cash requirements.Summary of Responsibilities:The Associate, Treasury executes on and improves on the day-to-day operations in Cash-Management.Essential Functions:Day-to-day execution of cash management and forecasting activities.Determines daily cash balances for investment and manages fund movement activity.Validate the accuracy of internal reporting of financial and operational data.Perform variance and forecasting analysis of key financial data including ad-hoc cash flow projection analysis as needed.Ensure adherence to established standards and risk limits.Contribute to a strong internal control environment.Ensures treasury policies, practices, and procedures are understood and followed.Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders.Other Functions:Acts as a subject matter expert (SME) while providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to other project managers.Other duties as assigned.Requirements:Education -Bachelor's Degree: Accounting, Finance, Economics or equivalent field.Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) certification or similar professional certification strongly preferredExperience -5-9 years Banking/Financial IndustrySkills & Abilities - Experience in Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Cash Management and/or Funds Transfer Pricing.Knowledge of industry practice (Asset-Liability Management, Liquidity Risk Management, Cash Management, Funds Transfer Pricing).Ability to convey a sense of urgency and drive.Advanced financial modeling and forecasting experience/skills based on previous similar roles strongly preferredStrong verbal and written communication skills in interacting with internal stakeholders.Strong interpersonal, supervisory and customer service skills required.Excellent analytical, organizational and project management skills required.Detail oriented with ability to research, organize and analyze financial data to meet time sensitive deadlines and carry out multiple priorities independently.Advanced in MS Word, MS Excel, MS OutlookCompetencies:Change Orientation - Flexibility:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingAdapts quickly to change and makes suggestions for increasing the effectiveness of changeAppropriately shifts attention and refocuses on new goals as a result of changes in priorities or competing work demandsCollaboration - Teamwork:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingCreates a good working environment in the team; works towards shared goals contributing ideas and accepting changeProvides assistance and coaches less experienced team membersExecution - Accountability:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingFollows through to meet commitments to othersTakes responsibility for achieving strong results, despite balancing multiple complex demandsExecution - Excellence:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingOrganizes and prioritizes workload and tasks for oneself and team membersActively plans ahead for routine and cyclical workProblem Solving - Solution Definition:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingSees through complexity and detail to get to the critical issues at handTakes into account the wider context within which problems existRisk Business Acumen - Financial Command:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingUnderstands specific financial and accounting standards to identify and assess the impact and likelihood of operational risksRisk Business Acumen - Industry Acumen:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingStays current with industry and regulatory trends and emerging risk issuesHas good understanding of current market and competitive landscape that the organization operates withinRisk Management - Knowledge of Risk Management Policies, Regulations, Processes and Procedures:Proficient - Applying and ExecutingExecutes risk management process and procedures without management direction, and demonstrates awareness of expected resultsKnows the relationship and impact of actions and resultsHas an understanding of regulations impacting area supportedWorking Conditions:Frequently: Minimal physical effort such as sitting, standing, and walking.Occasional moving and lifting of equipment and furniture is required to support onsite and offsite meeting setup and teardown.Physically capable of lifting up to fifty pounds, able to bend, kneel, climb ladders.Employer's Rights:This job description does not list all the duties of the job.
