Job description

Our firm delivers quality projects primarily in residential design, architecture, planning interior design and structural design.

We need a talented Structural Engineer with P.E to join our residential team.

What You Will Be Doing

• Assist in the development of internal design guidelines, specifications, and design control procedures.
• Set and monitor budgets for the project
• Manage Engineering staff design time against a budget
• Meet with private and public agencies before and during the project
• Help develop production processes
• Ability to work independently, and to manage multiple projects with limited supervision.
• Excellent communication skills with demonstrated ability to communicate engineering information clearly and concisely.
• Ability to think analytically and solve complex problems
• Interact with drafting/design group to develop and review engineering drawings.
• Visit job sites to evaluate the site, project requirements, and conditions.
• Adhere to safe design practices, while focusing on identifying cost-saving opportunities.
• Assess the feasibility of projects by assessing materials, costs, and time requirements, applying knowledge and techniques of engineering and advanced mathematics. Utilize complex and repetitive calculations
• Analyze and examine different strategies, equations, and applications to ensure appropriate procedures are applied and/or utilized. Resolve design and development issues.
• Provide advice and assistance on work techniques, best practices, and subject matter expertise to co-workers.
• Serve as Engineer in Responsible Charge as assigned, and adhere to regulations regarding PE sealing requirements specific to assigned projects.
  

What You Need for this Position

• Bachelor or Masters Degree in Engineering
• P.E. License in the State of Texas
• MINIMUM five (5) years of engineering experience required.
• Proficient in the latest versions of AutoCAD, Excel, and word processing software.
