Description

  • HRIS input, maintenance, and reporting for all District hourly employees
  • Enter all new hires into the HRIS/Payroll system, including enrolling the new employee, assisting employees with completing the onboarding steps including Section 1 of their I9, completing the Section 2 of the I9 and E-Verify, and teaching employees how to clock in/out using the HRIS/Payroll system
  • Verify employee timecards are complete, making updates as necessary, for bi-weekly payroll processing
  • Recruit and retain qualified candidates for hourly positions
  • Assist leadership in employee relations, performance and termination meetings
  • Create 1st Notice of Injury forms for all Worker's Comp injuries/illness and all follow up necessary with guidance from Corporate HR
  • Liaison between the Union and SFE
  • Implement HR and Payroll processes, policies, etc. as directed by Corporate Human Resources
  • Reach out to Corporate Human Resources for guidance, support, and training
  • Complete Unemployment Claims, employment verifications, and all other information requests
  • File maintenance for all employee and department paperwork
  • Assist employees as need with HR and Payroll related questions
  • Special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other related field strongly preferred
  • 5 - 7 years HR Generalist experience required
  • Working within a Union environment experience preferred
