The role of a McWhinney Leasing Consultant requires high energy and passion for the company's Bring Your Dream philosophy. This role combines sales, customer service and marketing to lease luxury apartment homes and build excellent relationships with guests and residents. As a McWhinney Leasing Consultant, you will lease high quality construction, superior amenities and provide best in class service that creates the McWhinney lifestyle. The Leasing Consultant will be proactive in anticipating and exceeding expectations in all areas of the leasing role.

Key Responsibilities:

Leasing:

  • Acts as primary point of contact for current and prospective residents, answering questions and servicing front-line needs
  • Performs in accordance with a high standard of customer service and attention to detail
  • Obtains at or above industry standard scores in all reporting designed to measure customer satisfaction (J. Turner, Satisfacts, shopping reports, etc.)
  • Complete Fair Housing course with Grace Hill (or other course as approved by VP of Operations) and receives a passing grade of 90% or above on an annual basis
  • Maintain a 50%+ closing ratio for all qualified prospective resident traffic that tours the property
  • Follow-up (as outlined by the property policy - via email or telephone, etc.) with all qualified prospective traffic within 48 hours of the first contact
  • Ensure accurate, timely record keeping and data management for all leasing and renewal activities
  • Prepares accurate and timely paperwork for new resident leases, lease renewals and community correspondence

Resident Relations:
  • Completes the McWhinney Lifestyle Community events calendar and submits to manager for final approval
  • Plan, promote, and attend McWhinney Lifestyle Community events in accordance with the monthly activity calendar, late night schedule and brand coordination as stipulated by the Community Manager
  • Develop best in class customer service relationships will residents, starting with the first visits the property
  • Manage and resolve resident concerns
  • Monitor outstanding service requests and communicate with Service and Property Manager to insure the 24-hour guarantee

Administrative:
  • Completes monthly market survey report
  • Visits and shops all properties identified as competitive to their property
  • Submit shopping report and/ or follow-up correspondence to Community Manager
  • Checks property email and answering service for messages and distributes messages accordingly
  • Daily organization and implementation of opening & closing procedures for all leasing spaces, models, and common spaces
  • Responsible to make sure common spaces are ready for customers at least 15 minutes prior to opening doors for business
  • Confirms all leasing and marketing materials, and office supplies are well stocked and updated with current information

Pay Range: $15 - $17 per hour

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Strong professionalism, communication and people skills
  • Superior sales skills
  • Previous lease up experience desired, not required
  • Well organized and ability to prioritize and multi-task
  • Attention to detail
  • Team oriented, ability to work independently
  • Computer skills to include, Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and Social Media as it pertains to community marketing and operations
  • Verbal, math and reasoning skills
