Position Profile

Weaver seeks a Manager or Senior Manager to join our growing Risk Advisory Services practice. Our Risk Advisory Services team provides services specifically developed to meet the evolving needs of our clients and helps them navigate the ever-changing regulations and reporting requirements.

The ideal candidate is a dynamic advisory professional who has an advanced understanding of US GAAP and financial audit concepts and is able to readily understand how to evaluate a situation in relation to relevant accounting standards and establish a plan of action for standard adoption and/or restatement of financial statements. The candidate should also have mastery of internal control theory and a working knowledge of internal audit standards. This individual is responsible for day-to-day execution of engagement objectives while supervising teams of staff members on multiple concurrent engagements. This individual has experience managing engagement economics and client expectations to drive successful completion of engagement objectives. This role will provide an opportunity to offer your valuable expertise to a variety of clients and the opportunity to do client-facing work.

Education and Skills

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field
* Master's degree in Accounting or related field is preferred
* CPA or CIA required
* Thorough understanding of GAAP and GAAS
* Familiarity with banking regulatory framework
* Excellent business writing and presentation skills
* Working knowledge of IIA standards
* 5+ years of accounting or consulting experience at a public accounting or consulting firm or combination of public accounting and industry experience (such as audit manager responsibilities)
* Experience managing, mentoring and developing staff
* Thorough understanding of COSO internal control framework, Sarbanes Oxley Act, and Section 404
* Experience in financial reporting process and in SEC financial reporting
* External audit or outsourced internal audit consulting experience with financial services companies and audits for public companies
