EXPERIENCE: BS Mechanical Engineer maybe Chemical Engineer with 10- 20 years of experience from the chemical process, petrochemical or refining industry experience. Strong Safety Experience is a must.
They need someone with experience developing and executing reliability improvement programs with a record of successful improvements to speak to. 10+ years of experience.

The Reliability Engineer executes work in compliance the ZERO EHS Impact Philosophy. The Reliability Engineer will work in collaboration with the Plant Engineering Manager and Maintenance Manager in developing the reliability strategy and program. The role is also responsible for partnering with the Maintenance Function to execute asset reliability strategy and management programs to improve availability, uptime, and overall equipment effectiveness. Where applicable, the reliability engineer should review capital projects to ensure that new designs match the reliability expectations of the asset.
Reliability Engineer Functional Role:
- Ensures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance
- Responsible for development of the site's asset reliability strategy and for preventive and predictive maintenance program and processes
- Drives root cause analysis and correction to eliminate equipment reliability problems
- Leads implementation and maintenance of site's equipment criticality analysis. Monitors, reviews, and improves existing asset maintenance practices for effectiveness and adherence to established industry or company best practices
- Drives continuous improvement in maintenance practices making data-driven decisions including use of quantitative metrics and most current CMMS data
- Participates in the development and improvement of reliability SOPs and work instructions to support the program
- Partners with functional groups and the planners/schedulers to develop the scope and schedules for all equipment shutdowns
- Responsible review and modification of shutdown plans on site dynamics, equipment issues, and production schedules
- Ensures clear and timely communication to sites functional groups on all shutdown issues
- Provides technical support for plant equipment and system troubleshooting
- Leads significant equipment repair initiatives, support Capital projects, and assigned process improvements
- Ensures that reliability program is executed in compliance with requirements of OSHA's PSM regulations
- Consults asset management development strategies to ensure activities conform to Recognized and Generally Accepted Good Engineering Practices (RAGAGEP)
- Satisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System
- Practices Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001
