The Sr. Manager of Business Analyst and Operations Integration acts as a central point of contact during the demand planning process initiated at the proposal phase and continues through execution. This role ensures the unconstrained forecasts are loaded in alignment to the growth strategies both in the short-term forecasting and long-term planning.

This individual will employ excellent analytical skills, use logic to make observations that drive demand planning processes. This includes the ability to proactively manage, coordinate, and communicate forward looking demand plans that align the business, optimize resources and drive business goal achievement through incorporation of analytical forecast models and business intelligence.

This role will partner with leaders of diverse functions such as: Business Development, Program Management, Finance, Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Human Resources and Manufacturing Operations.

This role will report directly into Senior Operations Leadership and will be pivotal to ensuring demand planning's key objectives - customer satisfaction, cash, revenue, cost savings, forecasting of resources and capacity and inventory control and material flow- achieved through strategic leadership and execution of process improvement for operations supported by AVS Sector and L3 Harris Technologies.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of professionals in demand planning activities and ensure collaboration with cross-functional teams to develop monthly/weekly forecasts for specific program(s)/ product(s)/customer(s) and maintain forecasts that align with the strategies and objectives of the business.
  • Oversight of SIOP, Data Analytics and Demanding Planning to facilitate the (SIOP) process and demand plans to supply operations and become aligned with short- and long-term requirements.
  • Receive, assess, and manage changes to existing plans and triage these with rigor through a change management process. Communicate changes to requirements as well as to existing plans with urgency and transparency.
  • Provide key inputs into business planning process to set operating plans, resource needs while being able to communicate plans at all levels of organization in easy-to-comprehend language
  • Develop and deploy Operational CI plans and projects to achieve business plan and strategic goals
  • Utilize and optimize forecasting tools and exception reporting in collaboration with the IT Team to improve sales forecasting at various aggregation levels and develop scalable systematic solutions for future growth and continued process improvement.
  • Drive the generation of demand inputs for the annual budgeting process; compare forecasts to the supply plan, provide leadership a clear overview of variances, uncertainty, and risk areas to the business
  • Interact and communicate with the operations teams to provide direction and accurate production plans and schedules where capacity and supply chain constraints are well balanced.
  • Track metrics and provide reports that give visibility of the planning cycle; drive proactive action plans to address issues/gaps including any challenges for the sales and operations teams as needed.
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree in business administration, supply chain, operations management or other relevant field
  • 12+ years of prior related experience or 10+ years of prior related experience with Graduate Degree
  • Experience in SAP, Excel, Power BI, Tableau
  • Experience with Data Analytics Automation
  • 4+ years of people management in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with material planning and forecasting operations
  • Experience with production planning and manufacturing operations
  • Earned Value knowledge and experience
Position Criteria (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities):
  • Aerospace experience preferred.
  • Black Belt/Master Black Belt certification preferred
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills to communicate and influence a diverse group of stakeholders from all parts of the organization including senior management, business development, program management, operations and supply chain management personnel.
  • Working knowledge of ERP/MRP and Supply Chain Management Information Systems. Demonstrated application of critical thinking and problem-solving skills to review and compare data to identify inconsistencies and determine priorities
  • Understanding of manufacturing lean manufacturing principles
  • Operates with a high degree of connectedness, transparency and clarity to ensure common understanding of requirements, issues and actions; listen to stakeholders and distill information into pertinent and actionable content.
  • Ability to adapt to the pace and dynamic nature of the business; process data, information and feedback with speed and communicate outcomes, alternatives and actions plans with appropriate urgency.
  • Ability to maintain a strategic view while operating at a level of fine detail; correlate portfolio priorities and strategy to daily operations and decision making within the supply chain
