Job description

This is a ground floor opportunity to help establish a brand new subsidiary in America. Our client is a major global company and for this position you will be focusing on selling transmission line cables and related parts and equipment to electric utilities, EPC firms and similar markets.
Our client is a US $9 billions Shanghai listed global and leading manufacturer active in the research development, design, production, supply, and installation complete with a wide product for a range of telecom, power, renewable energy and oil & gas industries. They have has 54 offices overseas and over 16,000 employees worldwide. They do have current customers in America, but this is their first attempt to establish a permanent USA presence. We are looking for someone who is anywhere in the USA with best preliminary thoughts are opening the office in Texas, Chicago or Florida. However, they are completely open to working this out with you to work remotely from anywhere.

Salary is open since this is a new position and country, but initially budgeted for roughly to $120,000 base.
Job description and requirement as below:

Energy Cable Sector Business Development Representative

Promote and present our production and brand in USA market. Develop new clients and markets and maintain and establish client relationships. Visit USA clients and follow on the project opportunities and complete the sales mission to expand the North American market.
Main requirement for Candidate:
Must have experience and knowledge in energy cables, such as overhead conductor, XLPE power cables, OPGW etc. Knowledge of and relationships with EPC and Energy companies and have experience with EPC contractors.
Looking for someone with experience or cooperative relationships with Utilities, such as American Electric Power Co., Inc., NextEra Energy, Inc., Exelon Corporation, Southern Company etc., and also ideally experience on transmission line projects, wind farm projects etc.
For clarity purposes here are some main competitors in the Energy sector: Prysmian, Nexans, Southwire, General Cable, AFL, LS cable etc.
