Environmental Scientist/Environmental Professional

Cypress Environmental Consulting is seeking an Environmental Scientist to join our environmental team in Houston, Texas. This position will support the team by conducting environmental site assessments (Phase I/II ESA), construction environmental inspection, storm water monitoring, preparing environmental report documentation, conducting site reconnaissance, including sampling activities, providing general environmental tasks in the field and office, compiling and summarizing data and environmental records, assisting with other environmental field surveys as needed, and preparation of reports and environmental documentation. Candidates must be willing and able to travel, and work nights and weekends depending on the project work needs.

Duties:

· Phase I and Phase II ESA

· Environmental inspections

· Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPP)

· Conduct environmental surveys

· Assist other project related environmental field work activities

· Prepare reports and environmental documentation

Minimum Qualifications:

· B.S. Degree in geology or environmental science related field

· 2+ year's professional work experience conducting Phase I ESA and/or environmental inspections

· Candidate must possess excellent technical writing skills, effective communication skills (written, verbal and listening) and solid interpersonal skills

· Candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently

· Provide proof of Clean Driving record

· Must be neat in appearance and punctual

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

· Plan, schedule and track project timelines and milestones to ensure project progress status is on schedule

· Experience successfully handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

Must pass a drug test prior to employment and will be subject to post-accident, random, and reasonable cause testing during employment.
