NorthStar Memorial Group is seeking a Financial Analyst for our Home Office in the Galleria area of Houston. The Financial Analyst provides support to Senior Management on cross-business projects at TAM such as financial modeling, investment analysis and risk management. It requires the ability to balance multiple projects across vastly different functions, including Financial Modeling & Analysis, Portfolio Management and Investment Research & Analysis under tight deadlines. The ideal candidate will have expertise across all these fields.

Responsibilities

• Support daily portfolio management, including monthly fact sheet, performance attribution analysis, investment memorandum, compliance package and client service support
• Analyze, underwrite and monitor private real estate investments
• Build quantitative models to perform cash flow projections and valuation scenario analysis for potential investments
• Perform advanced quantitative analyses and develop model to support the investment committee in the decision making process
• Refine and update proprietary investment models to help monitor and develop investment strategies
• Use quantitative tools and techniques to measure and analyze model risks
• Create trade files, maintain trade capture and reconciliation processes
• Create and maintain investor presentations and provide support for other marketing efforts
• Provide strategic consulting services and business analytics support to the core deathcare business of Northstar as needed
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Manager

Job Requirements:

• Two-year experience of investment banking, private equity, real estates or relevant buy-side exposure in leading financial services firms
• Graduate degree in a field that emphasizes data analysis and quantitative skills (e.g., operation research, financial engineering, or statistics)
• CFA Charter holder, or completed all levels of exams
• Undergraduate degree with majors in finance, economics, mathematics, engineering and/or accounting. Must have graduated with GPA of 3.5 or higher.
• Valid driver's license
• Strong understanding of applied statistics and data science, including probability theory, convex optimization, linear algebra, time series models and other mathematical/statistical analysis
• Proficiency in PowerBI, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
