Job Overview:

Human Resources Generalist position (strategic thinking, results-oriented team player) to become an integral member of the North, Central, South America (NCSA) HR team in Houston.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Duties will include, but will not be limited to:

  • Collaborating with and providing guidance and direction to management and employees on issues, activities, policies, programs and processes
  • Hands-on facilitating, coordinating or handling all aspects of new hires, transfers, off-cycle proposals, performance management, onboarding, terminations, etc. in accordance with policies, procedures and practices
  • Independent and collaborative projects such as developing/implementing trainings, procedures, practices, identifying employment or attrition trends, retention efforts, etc. based on the needs of the HR team, NCSA Management or Corporate Management
  • Handling full employee life cycle activities
  • Conducting or assisting with orientations, temporary housing arrangements, behavioral/performance investigations and counselings, and employee engagement events

Essential Qualifications and Education:
  • Possess entry-level to intermediate generalist and specialized knowledge in HR-related subjects including employment law, employee relations, compliance, and training
  • Be comfortable with assignments that are routine to complex in nature.
  • Have a dynamic personality and strong leadership skills
  • Have excellent organizational and analytical skills
  • Be proficient in MS Office applications and other common office/HR related software products; HCM, SAP, Kronos, PeopleSoft and Taleo preferred
  • Have effective and positive verbal and written communication skills
  • Be a confident self-starter who can handle multitasking, complex situations, and conflicting priorities - must be proactive and responsive
  • Work well in a very fast-paced team environment to support a common goal as well as work independently with minimal direction - recent experience in a team environment preferred
  • Be able to maintain high work production with high accuracy and attention to detail
  • Be a quick learner who is flexible and focused
  • Maintain appropriate discretion when working with confidential information
  • Possess a professional demeanor and be business savvy with proven ability to interface with all levels of diverse employee base and executive management
  • Very minimal travel, but could require an occasional overnight trip for trainings or visiting other office or project sites as requested
  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or Organizational Development preferred.
  • Entry-level to three (3) years of progressive Human Resources experience in a professional, large corporate environment.
  • Experience in the EPC industry strongly preferred
