POSITION SUMMARY

This position is part of Equipment Depots IT Applications team, which is responsible for end-to-end management and support of applications used throughout the business. This role will be primarily focused on SugarCRM and successful implementation of projects impacting this application through the use of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Project Management methodology. The business analyst is expected to analyze business problems, design and recommend solutions, work with vendors to develop solutions, test changes to ensure they meet business objectives, and then support implementation and deployment of these solutions to the business. The role will be responsible for developing and managing progress against a project plan, as well as regular communication on milestones and setbacks to project stakeholders.

This role will also be primarily responsible for the designation and resolution of SugarCRM support requests, as well as application facilitation and training.

Essential Functions Statement(s)

  • Elicit business requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements, workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, scenarios, task and workflow analysis
  • Evaluate and recommend existing and new application technology to meet business requirements
  • Collaborate with developers, vendors, and subject matter experts to design changes to meet business requirements
  • Document and execute test scripts to validate new functionality works as designed.
  • Prepare documentation and facilitate the preparation and execution of user acceptance testing for changes or new systems.
  • Develop and maintain 3-year road map for SugarCRM, based on input from the business and vendor.
  • Provide basic software training in key functional areas
  • Collaborate with key subject matter experts to ensure business unit expectations are in-line with project goals and objectives
  • Drive issue resolution through issue and risk management. Escalates issues to the decision making body when appropriate.
  • Participate in meetings to update project stake holders and participates on the status of the project.
  • Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.
  • Coordinate with Business units for system upgrades and maintenance
  • Responding timely to inbound customer support requests. Analyze requests and implement solutions to drive down volume of requests.
  • Record, monitor and escalate support requests.
  • Provide functional support to the end user.
  • Communicate with end users and management on the status of issues.
  • Strive to maintain an understanding of other technology and business initiatives outside of current projects to ensure alignment and integration where possible.
  • Manage SugarCRM enhancement budget.
  • Other duties as assigned


Requirements

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

SKILLS & ABILITIES
Education: College degree, or equivalent work experience, in computer science, information systems, Finance or computer engineering
Experience: 3-5 years direct experience in similar business analyst roles. Preferred experience in sales management, project management, the material handling industry and Sugar CRM.
Computer Skills: Microsoft Office, Visio, Project.
Other Requirements: SugarCRM Administrator Certification
