Job description

Job Summary:
The Inside Loan Officer's primary role is to source, qualify and originate mortgage loans for
Panorama Mortgage Group.

Responsibilities:
  • Monitor loan pipeline through Lenders Office
  • Must spend more than 51% of time in the office
  • Attend weekly sales meetings
  • Take information from the prospective borrower and complete the loan application form
  • Analyze the prospective borrower's income and debt and pre-qualify the prospective borrower to determine the maximum mortgage amount that the prospective borrower can afford
  • Perform basic office functions including, taking phone calls, scheduling meetings for loan officer, making copies
  • Stack file for processing
  • Educate the prospective borrower in the home buying and financing process, advising the borrower about the different types of loan products available and demonstrating how closing costs and monthly payments could vary under each product
  • Maintain regular contact with the borrower, realtors and the Company between the time of the application and closing to apprise them of the status of the application and gather any addition information
  • Assist in collection missing documentation for completion of loan file from borrowers
  • Determine whether the property is located in a flood area, where required by the Company
  • Attend the closing of the mortgage loan, if requested by the company
  • Under no circumstances shall the Inside Loan Officer be compensated greater than the amount negotiated in the Inside Loan Officer Compensation Agreement
  • Perform other duties as assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities:
This position has no supervisory responsibilities
Requirements:
  • Must have a current license through NMLS and be in good standing
  • Knowledge of Freddie Mac (FHLMC), Fannie Mae (FNMA), FHA, and VA
  • The knowledge of the principles and theories
  • Two (2) years prior mortgage or mortgage banking experience
  • Ability to deliver effective results and to meet deadlines
  • History of exceeding sales goals
  • Reliable transportation, valid driver's license and current automotive insurance
  • Sound judgment and decision-making skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines with minimal supervision
  • Excellent phone and service skills
  • Timely communication and response times according to department standards

Physical/Sensory Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift 25 pounds at a time
  • Bend, stoop and stretch as needed
  • Prolonged periods of sitting, standing and or ambulating (Employee has some control over the length of time)
  • Prolonged use of computers, telephone, and other standard office equipment which includes reading, writing, listening or speaking
  • Fluency in English language (written, oral, spoken); fluency in a second language desirable
