Job Overview Finance Manager: DSD South Central Region This position will collaborate with the business and financial leadership for $800M revenue Direct Store Delivery (DSD) business across 5 states (Texas, Oklahoma, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Missouri). This position analyzes results and plays an integral role in the forecasting and budgeting processes. This role requires a detailed understanding of financial reporting and a keen interest in learning the DSD route-to-market and all the key supporting business processes. The successful candidate will bring a deep combination of analytical ability and critical thought in a number of financial areas, driving business objectives and maintaining a thorough and rigorous system of analysis throughout. Details: This is a full-time position that will be based out of our Irving, TX facility on a hybrid remote/office arrangement. Compensation is flexible and determined by candidate's experience level. Position Responsibilities: Work closely with the Region Finance team on General Ledger month-end close, financial reporting, balance sheet account reconciliations and working with Corporate Controllers, Supply Chain Finance, Tax, A/R, A/P Payroll, Risk and other departments with all aspects Region accounting/financial requirements for the Region and ensuring the P/L is fairly stated. Lead Cashier team at our largest locations, Irving, Houston and San Antonio. Develop a high-powered team and strong culture across the organization. Provide strategic direction and operational support. Provide business insights, commentary and presentation material for Executive Leadership Team meetings, operational reviews, management meetings & financial reviews Responsible for building key components and coordination of the Annual Operating Plan to achieve company strategic and financial goals inclusive of Business Cost Management (BCM) process to build the plan and targeting value capture opportunities to reduce cost in DSD and free up cash flow to reinvest into the company. Continuously improve metric and reporting to foster the development of Lean Daily Management principles and practices within our distribution centers, and visual management with management and our BU leadership. Ensure all metric and reporting is value added and links back to achieving our Goal Deployment objectives and financial plan. Rationalize metrics that are not used or add value. Routinely meet and visit operations to better understand voice of customer and conduct process observations (i.e. as part of a Lean Kaizen/CAP event, Compliance Review, market tour, etc.) to continuously improve financial support to your commercial and operational customers, achieve strategic and financial goals and find opportunities to eliminate waste. Provide technical and analytical guidance in identifying and solving problems with the functional areas of the department and region. Build financial modeling and economic analysis, capital tracking and analysis, and contract support for terms and conditions Provide insights for improvement opportunities and synergies Develop business relationships with various departments and customers which include Corporate FP&A, Supply Chain Finance, HR, Supply Chain Operations, etc. Produce accurate and timely financial information and analysis; promote an environment of strong internal controls and process efficiencies Perform detailed analyses and provide insight and summaries to Senior Management based on data from a variety of internal sources Perform other job-related duties as requested by management Requirements Requirements: Education/Experience Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related field is required At least 3 years minimum of relevant finance experience required; 5-7+ years of experience preferred Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) industry experience strongly preferred Technical Skills Experience with Planning Analytics / TM1 and SAP a plus Advanced ability to build detailed financial models in Excel required Required Competencies and Aptitudes Strong analytical skills and the ability to propose positive business solutions to problems. Strong influencing and problem solving skills Strong attention to detail High intellectual curiosity and strategic mindset Ability to handle confidential financial information appropriately Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. Forward-thinking in implementing tools and techniques to improve analytics, driving better business decisions Good organizational skills and able to handle a high work volume.
