Within the Human Resources Group, the HR Consulting team is seeking highly motivated Human Resource professionals to join our Line of Business Human Resources Consulting Partner teams.
The Human Resources Consulting Partner (HRCP) positions provide human capital consulting services across aligned Wells Fargo Lines of Business in support of business needs identified by HR Business Partners and Leaders to achieve desired human capital and accelerate business outcomes.
Wells Fargo is undergoing a transformation, therefore, the work is dynamic. This role will be expected to quickly assess the business need, identify and scope the work to provide excellent human capital results, build trust with business leaders and HR partners as the work is conducted, outline clear measure of success, share best practices around the consulting engagement and mitigate risk through building capability for managers with each assignment. While the role is strategic in nature it can also be execution oriented based on short term critical business priorities.
Key Responsibilities include:
• Provide strategic consulting on HR solutions and initiatives to the business inclusive of identifying risk mitigation strategies, aligning solutions to Enterprise strategies and thinking about solutions at scale
• Focus on consulting engagements for mid-to-senior level leaders spanning a range of complexity and scope
• Lead projects required by negotiated engagement, advise and execute within outlined and established timelines
• Provide competitive human capital solutions by using data, understanding trends, organization and culture knowledge
• Consult with the business leaders by asking the right questions, developing organizational & cultural knowledge, sharing observations, data, and themes relating to specific HR products/services in order to develop and implement HR solutions
• Embrace the HR Operating Model by proactively and effectively collaborating with COE partners and other internal partners to positively influence outcomes
Location: Preference is for the selected candidate to work within specific Wells Fargo locations which include: Charlotte, NC; Dallas, TX; San Antonio, TX; Des Moines, IA; Minneapolis, MN; Phoenix, AZ; New York, NY Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
Multiple positions are available. Current openings include the Consumer and Small Business Banking & Public Affairs HRCP Team, reporting to Kim Kesper and the Wealth & Investment Management HRCP Team reporting to Pam Youngblood. Lines of Business and hiring managers are subject to change. Selected candidates must be open to placement within any line of our Line of Business HRCP Teams.
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of human resources consulting experience
- 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: human resources, organizational development, or consulting in business, management, non-profit, government or education demonstrated through work or military experience

- Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas
- Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change
- Ability to execute in a fast paced, high demand, environment while balancing multiple priorities
- Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of team members and management
- Ability to strategically analyze data and diagnose opportunities and interventions
- Ability to work effectively in a virtual team environment
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Other Desired Qualifications
- Experience working in a matrix environment: delegation of activities to appropriate owner of work
- Experience providing consult and presenting solutions to senior leadership
- Experience in one or more of the following HR disciplines: talent development, talent management, compensation, recognition, performance management, diversity equity & inclusion, employee relations, team member engagement and retention, organizational design/development, executive coaching, human capital planning or staffing and recruiting
- Diversity equity and inclusion consulting experience
- Professional presentation skills
Job Expectations
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
