Job DescriptionStep into an instrumental role. Help conduct the smooth operation of a fast-pacedand friendlyfinancial planning office. Work as an employee of a team of independent advisor franchisees within a financial advisory practice of Ameriprise Financial. Assist in daily business operations.The associate financial advisor will assist financial advisors in working with clients to help them achieve their financial goals. The employing franchise owners will lead you as you hone your skills. As an associate financial advisor, you will be instrumental in creating and delivering a unique client experience that defines and differentiates the practice. This position will consistently follow high standards of business and professional ethics and legal and regulatory requirements when dealing with others and/or performing work activities.This role provides client relationship support through managing, gathering and analyzing client data, helping prepare financial plans and other client deliverables, working with clients to resolve issues and other practice management tasks as needed. Responds to ad hoc requests, coordinates/tracks projects and/or manages small business as usual projects such as organizing a client seminar.ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities and Time Allocation Will change over time to meet the needs of the practice and can include other duties as assigned by the advisor.Position Functions:> 50%Financial Planning and Advice Identify clients to engage or re-engage in planning relationshipsPrepare for client meetings focused on planning discussionsGather and enter client data into Financial Planning Tool Suite and perform case analysisDevelop portfolio/robust product solution recommendations that will fit the client's risk tolerance and time frame as well as develop appropriate product deliverablesParticipate in and/or conduct client meetings to present recommendations/deliver adviceTrack/hold clients accountable to agreed upon actionsAnswer questions and provide information to clients as it relates to servicing their accounts25%Product Solutions Assess the client's risk toleranceAssess the client's goals and time framePrepare financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions for advisor review and use in client meetingsRun illustrations and hypotheticalsDevelop appropriate product deliverablesPersuade clients to act upon suitable advice/recommendationsExecute appropriate trades to align with proposed portfolioMonitor economy, markets, and world events to determine any required strategic rebalancingManage wholesaler relationshipsConduct transactions on behalf of clients Position Functions (continued): 1~25%Business Management & Client Care Financial Planning and AdviceRequired QualificationsKey traits of a successful associate financial advisorIndependent and confident self-starter who can work well with minimum supervisionAble to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks/projects with competing deadlines and prioritiesExcellent professional development skills such as teamwork and collaboration, work planning, time management and prioritizationDirect attention to detail and organizationEffective communication with clients and other advisors/staffAbility to adhere to rules and regulations as stated and required by advisor, Ameriprise FinancialPositive attitude and sincere willingness to constantly learn and growEducation and other designations:College degree or higher2+ years of similar experienceAlready have or be able to study for and pass exams for federal and state licenses and registrations for securities, including Series 7, Series 66, and State life, accident and health insurance licensesAbout Our CompanyWith the right company, life can Be Brilliant.
