Great opportunity to join a well-respected, award-winning, fast-growing healthcare company based in Dallas-Ft. Worth with locations throughout Texas, as well as in Oklahoma, California, Colorado, Tennessee, Alabama, Louisiana, and Georgia.

This full-time position is located at our home office at 3033 W. President George Bush Fwy, 75075.

The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for performing HR-related duties on a professional level and works closely with the HR team in supporting all geographic regions of the company. This position carries out responsibilities in the several functional areas including applicant processing and new-hire on-boarding, Workers Compensation claims, employee relations, and maintaining compliance with state and federal employment laws.

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • SHRM certification preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills required.
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Human Resources required.
  • Experience with employee relations required.

Major Responsibilities:

  • Maintains employee and applicant files and documentation confidentially and as required by governing agencies.
  • Assists with the applicant and hiring process.
  • Assists with the development and implementation of personnel policies and procedures as assigned by Manager.
  • Reports, maintains and monitors workers compensation case files and follows-up on open cases.
  • Processes unemployment notices and responds to potential charges in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Maintains excellent service and support for all employees regarding Human Resource needs.
  • Assist department managers with proper employee discipline processes and terminations in accordance with company policies.
  • Respond to employee relation issues such as complaints and harassment allegations as assigned by manager.
  • Attend workshops/seminars as required to stay informed of legal and compliance updates.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Work Standards:

  • Understands and adheres to all external accreditation review standards, applicable state, local and Federal laws and / or regulations including maintaining employee confidentiality and abiding by HIPAA laws/regulations at all times.
  • Demonstrates ability to cope with sensitive and difficult employee issues in a professional manner and remain calm under pressure.
  • Establishes and maintains positive working relationships with department staff as well as all company employees.
  • Displays a neat, clean, and professional appearance at all times.
  • Understands and adheres to company policies and procedures.
  • Handles employee requests and complaints in a timely, fair and respectful manner.
  • Promotes PHI culture by providing quality, comprehensive services to all customers through a team approach.

Technical:

  • Competent with Human Resource systems. (UKG Pro experience a plus)
  • Competent with partner programs (i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
  • Effective written and oral communication skills.
