Job Summary:

At TxMOUD, we are an interdisciplinary team committed to reducing the burden of substance use in Texas by expanding access to compassionate, evidence-based treatment and recovery support services. In partnership with UTHSA, TxMOUD is opening a state-wide clinic specializing in providing safe, quality, and best-in-class care for individuals living with substance use disorder ("SUD").

Responsible for driving growth opportunities and strategic branding through digital marketing and managing the social media presence for the institution. Develops compelling stories and experiences for interactive content across web, social and mobile platforms. Under limited supervision, responsible for writing and producing digital content to support program's mission.

Job Duties:

  1. Plans, creates, and recommends effective digital and social media strategies in support of the institution's marketing and business development initiatives.
  2. Utilizes analytics tools to continuously improve user experience. Uses analytics to create effective content.
  3. Manages editorial calendars and writes and edits content for digital projects for internal and external audiences.
  4. Responsible for providing quality assurance reviews to ensure standards and voice are consistent
  5. Provides education to others on techniques to develop content that will accelerate meeting objectives.
  6. Collaborates with the various departments/schools to establish effective strategies to support achievement of goals.
  7. Implements marketing strategies and campaigns through social media optimization (SMO); guides clients/departments in the execution of strategies that will support the achievement of established growth metrics.
  8. Builds brand identification through penetration of online social media.
  9. Solicits, creates, and posts content (stories, news and facts) daily that attracts attention and drives member readers to share across their social networks.
  10. Monitors social media platforms and identifies opportunities to engage with members and delivers best-in-class customer support and brand engagement.
  11. Establishes and maintains relationships with social network members and the online community.
  12. Collaborates with IT to ensure websites include integration points to various social networks.
  13. Possess intermediate to advanced capabilities using digital and web-based publishing and design tools such as: Photoshop, InDesign, Drupal, WordPress, Sprout, Gain App, Hoot Suite, Google Analytics, Crazy Egg, Moz, YouTube, SharePoint and Search Engine Optimization - SEO.
  14. Analyzes research and metrics to inform and plan digital media strategy and ensure campaigns are generating the appropriate traffic and running effectively.
  15. Performs all other duties as assigned.


Education:

Bachelors degree in journalism, mass communications, marketing, or related discipline is required. Will take experience in lieu of degree.

Experience:

Three (3) years of experience in social media, journalism, and/or communications is required.

Preferred:

Experience with digital advertising campaigns. Knowledge and skill set in graphic design is ideal.
