Job description
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate's or Bachelor's Degree from an accredited school preferred. Experience with Federal Government property and inventory requirements, warehousing and inventory control preferred. Supervisory experience preferred. Must possess a valid in-State Driver's License and meet Company insurability requirements. Requires computer literacy in word processing and Microsoft Office Suite of applications.
Physical requirements include sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling and/or pushing, carrying, reaching, stooping and crouching. Demonstrates the ability to lift 40 pounds and/or the ability to assess the lift load in order to ask for necessary assistance.
MANAGEMENT AND SUPERVISION:
May supervise Job Corps' Work-Based Learning and leisure time student workers assigned to the department. May be the acting manager/POC in the absence of the manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Follows all integrity guidelines and procedures and ensures no manipulation of student data.
• Supports receiving to ensure all goods arriving on Center are processed timely and accurately, ensures the quality and integrity of all related paperwork.
• Coordinates property management and movement with custodians and managers as needed.
• Conducts periodic physical inventory of all Center property and reconciles actual inventory against property records.
• Maintains and updates required property, equipment and expendable computer inventory systems.
• Receives, stores and issues and accounts for all student loaner device equipment (SLED).
• May oversee the training activities of students assigned to the Property/Logistics area.
• Supervises and conducts the redistribution or disposal of surplus government property as directed by the Government.
• Ensures compliance with all government regulations and directives as related to property control.
• May participate in weekly Triangle Meeting which involves Finance, Property and Purchasing, to ensure prompt correction of vendor issues.
• Utilizes and manages the government excess property acquisition program weekly.
• Provides required/supplemental training for new and current employees.
• Mentors, monitors and models the Career Success Standards as required by the PRH.
• Shows respect and courtesy to students and holds them accountable for their actions and behavior.
• Provides quality services for students and ensures that quality is maintained and student needs are met. Pursues improvement and enhancement of requisite services.
• Exchanges ideas and information, both orally and in writing, in a clear and concise manner and contributes meaningfully to group efforts by offering relevant ideas and knowledge. Provides quality and timely information to DOL/Company when requested.
• Effectively articulates thoughts and ideas. Identifies problems, analyzes causes and evaluates appropriate solutions prior to taking or recommending actions. Follows up to ensure prompt/appropriate is taken and that problems are in fact corrected.
• Works in partnership with staff from all Departments to ensure effective supervision and services are provided to students.
• Accepts direction and supervision from the Executive Center Director/Center Duty Officer/Center Shift Manager to include assignments to temporarily perform job responsibilities of other departments and positions.
• Other duties as assigned.
