Client Relations Associate (Financial Services Professional)

This role will encompass a wide range of responsibilities related to investor correspondence, workflow management, and marketing initiatives. The right candidate will join the Client Relations Team and work closely with the Investments Team to effectively communicate with investors.

Essential Functions:

  • Serve as liaison between investors and company's Investments Team by fielding questions and providing updates on the company's investments
  • Oversee coordination and completion of ad hoc requests from existing and prospective investors
  • Assist in the development and execution of company's marketing/communication plan
  • Utilize Client Relationship Management program to prepare summarized financial reports for investors and their company relationship representatives
  • Prepare investment summaries/highlights for company's relationship representatives
  • Travel up to 1-2x/month to visit investments and manage investor events, usually in Texas but occasionally out of state

Required Qualifications, Education, and Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Business, Marketing, Communications or a relevant subject
  • 2+ years of applicable work experience in a client-facing, marketing, or finance role, preferably in private equity
  • Advanced ability to utilize Excel with little oversight
  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Adobe, and Google Sheets
  • Strong working knowledge of finance basics
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to summarize conclusions and confidently present well-supported arguments for or against specific investment opportunities
  • Notable interpersonal skills, with the ability to negotiate and coordinate with third parties on behalf of company

• Exceptional relationship-building skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality in all matters

• Must have the ability to self-direct work and exercise independent judgment to formulate and implement solutions

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to focus under pressure; comfortable meeting tight deadlines with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Excellent critical reasoning, quantitative, and analytical skills demonstrated by work experience and/or academic record
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize deadlines across several projects with different managers
  • Self-starter; able to identify "what's next" and make meaningful progress with little oversight or structure
  • Familiarity with JuniperSquare or similar CRM tool such as Salesforce
