A Controls Engineer job in Houston, TX is available courtesy of Modis. No C2C or sponsorship are available. Onsite, not remote. You will need a BSEE, BSEET or other relevant BS Engineering degree; MBA a plus. You will have five plus years of HVAC controls related experience. You will support ongoing VRV, RTU and Commercial Split controls development projects and customer support tool projects, organizing their progress, maintaining their schedules, overseeing the progress of each project and assist in providing support documentation and presentations, with completion dates as the critical path. Responsible for supporting the product marketing, product planning and product development for controls products. This includes support of the product throughout its lifecycle, including the implementation of the complete marketing mix, developing powerful customer value propositions and support tools.

Controls Engineer job responsibilities include:

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years of HVAC controls related experience, including troubleshooting and diagnostics of complex control applications

• Computer network knowledge and experience required.

• Codesys and Niagara programming a plus

• Experience with open protocol such as BACnet, Lonworks and Modbus and with BAS through these protocols.

• VRV/VRF controls and product knowledge a plus.

• Requires above average computer skills with full working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint software applications. AutoCAD experience a plus.

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical, electrical and architectural blueprints, specifications and HVAC equipment submittal data.

Education:

• Bachelor s degree in Engineering, MBA a plus
