PURPOSE OF THE JOB

The Plant Coordinator manages the daily staffing of the plant to ensure the necessary complement is achieved on every shift throughout the work week. Success in this role is defined by one's ability to procure the correct amount of labor through the utilization of overtime or other staffing techniques and ability to minimize or avoid people related upsets to plant operations. In addition, the coordinator will be a part of the operations team to help coordinate & support any payroll, communications, and TPM events. The coordinator must be available Monday through Friday from 5:00am to 1:00pm, the position reports directly to the Ops leader and works closely with the production supervisors & complex leaders to accomplish daily responsibilities.

Reports to: Operations Leader

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Track and Record all Attendance Occurrences and Leave of Absences for Primary Workforce in the Proper Systems

· Update attendance file daily to include all report offs and reflect any leaves of absence

· Verify all vacations to ensure the necessary number of employees are available and vacation time for each employee is being tracked and used properly

· Administers absentee related occurrences and provides notices to all primary employees

· Project overtime lists each day in accordance with applicable policies and procedures

Manage Staffing and Necessary People Moves

· Solicits overtime for all shifts for the 24-hour workday

· Responsible for securing overtime every Friday to provide proper staffing for the entire weekend

· Communicates all changes and necessary information to Shift Leaders as needed

· Determines and executes what people moves need to be made in order to fulfill the business need

· Escalate any manpower shortages to shift leader and operations leader

Operations Support

· Work with Training Dept to add input to process and prioritize needs

· Support DMS meetings as needed

· Assist with TPM initiatives

· Support production team with any admin tasks

JOB REQUIREMENTS

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

· High School Diploma Required

· Basic Microsoft Office Competency (Word, Excel, Outlook Email)

EXPERIENCE:

· 3-5 years' experience within a manufacturing environment is preferred

· All departments will be considered
