Responsibilities:
The Production Manager is responsible for the management of all production supervisors, shift production employees and production equipment. Oversees the training, upgrading, evaluation and performance reviews. Performs administrative duties as required including maintaining employee attendance records, initiating personnel action forms, writing counseling forms, vacation requests and any other reports as needed. Helps to maintain the shift safety program to minimize accidents and injuries and to ensure a safe working environment. Must know blown film, troubleshooting, extruder drives, heaters, and controls. Maintains thorough knowledge of all processes and equipment. Constantly follows quality and production and makes the necessary decisions to maintain maximum rates with high quality in an efficient time and manner. Coordinates with Maintenance for scheduled shutdowns and repairs in order to achieve the necessary maintenance work with the minimum operational losses. Assures that established policies, rules, regulations and procedures are followed. Works with Scheduler to ensure efficient scheduling. Is responsible for reporting discrepancies in orders and set-ups to the Plant Manager. Schedules jobs for efficiency and output thus controlling scrap generation. Verifies that all the information is included and accurate for compliance with the work order and ISO 9 standards. Must verify production, quality and quantity standards on all lines; scrutinizes and resolves discrepancies

Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High school diploma or equivalent or three to five years of blown film manufacturing experience. Must have overall knowledge of manufacturing of polyethylene film with strong leadership abilities. Good written and verbal communications skills are required. Computer and mechanical background a plus.
