The Challenge and The Opportunity

Premier Needle Arts has an immediate job opening for a Staff Accountant. As our Staff Accountant you will responsible for entering accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions into the accounting system, assisting with day-to-day accounting, assisting with the month end close.

The Staff Accountant is responsible for a variety of tasks, including:

* High volume of accounts payable transactions
* PO invoice processing/payment
* Month-end process
* Working with other departments to resolve accounting related issues
* Possible office admin functions (e.g., filing, etc.)
* And a variety of other duties as assigned

The successful candidate will have the ability to:

* Manage competing priorities
* Maintain an organized workflow
* Independently solve practical problems and interpret a variety of written and oral instructions
* Handle highly confidential and sensitive information

Requirements

* MS Office proficiency, including intermediate Excel skills
* Familiarity with GAAP accounting principles
* Accounts payable experience
* SAGE software experience a plus
* A minimum of one year accounting experience
* A Bachelors degree in accounting or a related field a plus
* Upon a conditional offer of employment, a criminal background check will be required
