Role: Senior Director, Bank Integration and Development
The role
This position is an opportunity for an experienced, curious, and ambitious banking professional to contribute to the launch and growth of the new SoFi Bank (in formation). The role will involve project management and analytical leadership to help drive execution of critical operating objectives for the Bank, including the planned integration of Golden Pacific Bank into SoFi (to create SoFi Bank), the continued expansion and development of risk management programs in partnership with our Risk team, and the evaluation and execution of new products and product features.
What You'll Do
Daily responsibilities will evolve over time, which should appeal to the right candidate. Key responsibilities are expected to include:
- Project Management: for initiatives including merger integration, roll-out of new operating capabilities and tools, execution of expanded risk management programs, and roll-out of new products and services.
- Strategic analysis: perform strategic/financial analysis associated with new initiatives, including new product offerings, and investments in new capabilities.
- 8+ years of progressively responsible experience with a regulated financial institution in the U.S. (either in-house, or as consultant serving banks and/or other financial institutions);
- Deep experience and demonstrated success in large-scale project management involving financial planning, new business initiatives, operations, organization design, risk management and/or technology;
- Strong academic background;
- Strong organizational and communications skills;
- Demonstrated ability to manage horizontally across multi-functional teams;
- Familiarity with digital business models.
- Curiosity, and a strong desire to build a career at the intersection of banking and financial technology.
- 5+ years working in or for a regulated U.S. banking institution.
- Specific experience with consumer finance.
- Strategic planning experience, either as part of a financial services organization, or at a consulting firm.
- Experience with a financial technology firm, in addition to banking.
- M.B.A. or other relevant advanced degree
