COTS is looking for an administrative specialist with experience in human resources and recruiting to join our team! The primary function of this role will be supporting the HR department by leading recruitment, including but not limited to posting jobs, reviewing resumes, conducting phone screens, and scheduling interviews. Additionally, this role will support other administrative projects in our human resources department such as auditing and updating our filing system and creating electronic onboarding for new team members. Outside of the HR department, this position also serves as: primary back-up to our Receptionist, answering phones, greeting guests, updating organizational docs (phone lists, org charts, etc.); finance team support; and operational support, including meeting and event planning and entry level tech support.


We are looking for an adaptable self-starter who can jump in and assist where needed. Organization and attention to detail are critical in this role, as well as the ability to multi-task. The right candidate is someone who is passionate about our mission and the work that we do, and someone who is looking for a dynamic position in a nonprofit where you might help out with a little bit of everything.


A high school degree with some post-secondary coursework is required, Bachelor's degree preferred. A minimum of two years of experience in office administration required, preferably in human resources or recruiting. A combination of experience and coursework in lieu of either requirement will be considered. This position can be part-time or full-time, we are looking for the right candidate and can be flexible with the hours worked. Our office hours are Mon-Fri, 9am - 5pm and ability to work within these hours is required. Knowledge of social services and community support resources is a plus.
