What You Will Do

As a Geohazard Mitigation Technician working for GSI, there is no typical day and the scenery changes often. You will be working outside with your hands in a wide variety of climates. On one project you may be working on a slope installing a retaining wall and the next project you could be stabilizing a bridge. This is the perfect career for someone that does not want to work in a traditional setting like a warehouse or office. This is hard work. This is gritty work. It will be some of the best and most rewarding work you will ever do because you will have a hand in saving people's lives. How You Will Make a Difference

• Move materials on a construction site
• Mix, spray, run hoses, and operate shotcrete or grouting pumps
• Operate rock drills
• Operate construction equipment such as excavator, all terrain forklifts, man lifts, skid steers, and front end loaders
• Reading and determining measurements
• Maintain a clean and organized construction site
• Working together in a team environment

What You Need to Bring

• Any prior soil stabilization, grouting, or foundation mitigation experience OR
• Prior construction industry experience as a carpenter or framer for example OR
• Prior concrete experience such as a concrete finisher/form builder or shotcrete experience
• Must not be afraid of heights
• A CDL Class A or a clean Motor Vehicle Driving Record
• The ability to travel at least 3 weeks out of every month
• Reliability and a strong work ethic
• Ability to get along with a diverse group of people
