As part of Freddie Mac's return to the office pilot, all employees, contingent workers and visitors must be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 in order to be on-site unless they have an approved accommodation.Position OverviewThe Single Family Affordable Lending and Access to Credit Division is seeking an Affordable Lending Professional to join the Affordable Lending Strategy and Policy team! This team is responsible for working with both internal and external business partners to develop the strategy and champion the approval of business solutions and policy activities related to providing responsible lending opportunities to first-time homebuyers, very low and low-to-moderate income borrowers, and families in underserved markets. We are committed to ensuring Freddie Mac has the offerings to support responsible lending, provide sustainable homeownership, and to improve access to credit for all borrowers by providing liquidity to the affordable market, educating new borrowers for homeownership, creating new business opportunities, and preserving homeownership.Our Impact:The Single Family Affordable Lending team is committed to ensuring Freddie Mac has the offerings to support responsible lending and provide sustainable homeownership to advance our company's goals of providing liquidity, stability and affordability to the U.S. housing market, which include underserved markets. We develop the strategies and initiatives set work with business partners across the enterprise and external industry partners to complete those activities.Your Impact:Collaborating with individuals across Single Family departments to assist with execution and socialization of Single Family activities described in the Freddie Mac Duty to Serve underserved markets planTracking and working through plan deliverables of outstanding activities to ensure compliance and completion of designated activities in support of underserved marketsWorking as a facilitator in meetings to bring together stakeholders to innovate and provide solutions to challenges around performing agreed-upon deliverablesStaying conversant with the affordable housing market by monitoring industry trends as it relates to new products and initiatives to find opportunities and give to the development of organizational strategic plans and objectivesQualifications2+ years project management or related experienceCollege Degree or equivalent experienceProven experience in problem solving and relationship managementExcellent oral and written communication skillsExperience with Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Powerpoint)Excellent public speaking skills, ability to deliver consistent messages to multiple partnersKnowledge of the Duty to Serve, Making Home Affordable Act, and other federal government initiativesPreferred: Familiarity with secondary mortgage market fundamentals, or mortgage banking experience, with emphasis on affordable lending products and initiativesKeys to Success in this Role:Excellent Powerpoint and excel skillsAbility to work effectively with continuous change and short deadlinesExcellent organizational, analytical and interpersonal skillsCurrent Freddie Mac employees please apply through the internal career site.Today, Freddie Mac makes home possible for one in four home borrowers and is one of the largest sources of financing for multifamily housing.
