* You will be a key member of our Program Management Office (PMO) and work with the Team's Program Manager (PM) and system engineers to assist with the management and reporting in support of the Army's Biometric Collection Capability (BC2)
* This is an opportunity to support the Army's Biometric Collection BC2 program and the PM DoD Biometrics customer (). As a member of the PMO, you will work closely with the Program Manager (PM) and the System Engineering Lead to support the configuration management of the BC2 contract.
* As a Configuration Manager, you will get first-hand experience working with the Configuration Management (CM) Lead, the PM, and the System Engineers. You will learn the inner workings of the BC2 systems, peripherals, communication networks, and Information Assurance requirements. The Configuration Manager will also gain valuable insight, knowledge, and experience, that over time, can be leveraged to perform the role of a CM Lead in the future.

Typical Day:

You will work on-site in the PMO with the PM, CM Lead, System Engineer, and others. You will be part of a tight-knit team that works together to meet the CM requirements of the BC2 Contract. Daily activities could include performing audits, creating, or updating documents, reviewing, and logging change requests, working with the Customer(s) to obtain permission to implement emergency change requests, updating the CM repository, etc. Over time, you will gain the necessary skillset and experience to be able to perform as a CM Lead.

Tasks:

* Support the CM of the Army's Biometric Collection Capability (BC2) systems. Biometrics Automated Toolset-Army (BAT-A), Near Real Time Identity Operations (NRTIO), Facial Recognition Binocular System (FRBS), and Voice Identity Biometric Exploitation Services (VIBES)
* Develop and administer a Configuration Management Plan that is compliant with MIL-HBDK-61A (SE) to include methods, procedures, and controls used for effective configuration identification, change control, status accounting, and audits of the total configuration, including hardware, software, and firmware
* Manage a web-based CM system to support team collaboration and tracking of Engineer Change Proposals (ECPs)
* Prepare for and conduct major configuration audits
* Participating in design reviews, configuration audits, and evaluations of software products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the software baseline for each system
* Identifies and maintains the original configuration of requirements documentation, design documentation, and related documentation
* Responsible for configuration change control and management of the change control board
* Regulates the change process so that only approved and validated changes are incorporated into product documents
* Responsible for configuration status accounting
* Tracks all problems and changes in product documents and reports changes and current configuration
* Responsible for configuration audits
* Supports audits to verify that requirements of all baselines have been met
* Supports quality assurance process audits

Requirements:

* Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business, or related scientific or technical discipline. Note: 8 years of program analyst experience may be substituted for education
* 5 years of configuration management experience
* Proficient in MS Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, etc.)
* Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, be customer and detail-oriented and possess good decision-making abilities

Desired Qualifications:

* Configuration Management Certification Preferred (NDIA, CMII, or CMPIC)
* Previous experience supporting a Major Defense Acquisition Program (MDAP) or Major Automated Information System (MAIS) program
* Previous experience with PM DoD Biometrics or PEO IEW&S or other Army organization

Work Environment/Schedule:

* Work will be in a mature office setting
* Day Shift: Typically, 9-5. 40hrs a week. Flexibility to support commuting needs.
