Northrop Grumman Space Systems Sector seeks a high-energy, customer service-oriented, and self-motivated Customer Engagement Manager 1 in Strategy & Business Development (S&BD) Operations & Integration to support the sector S&BD function across a breadth of efforts. Operations & Integration is uniquely positioned to have insight into S&BD operations across the enterprise to include strategy, business development, government relations, and cross-functional activities within NGSP, other sectors, and corporate organizations.
This Customer Engagement Manager reports to the Director, S&BD Operations & Integration and is located in Dulles, VA. This position is responsible for the planning and execution of key on-site visitor engagements in addition to helping manage sector interests in strategic trade shows and events. Other responsibilities include report development, training in best customer engagement practices, and other Operations & Integration tasks.
The candidate must become familiar with sector-wide facilities and programs and will manage or conduct the following activities:
Use Operations & Integration data sources to prepare and distribute a variety of reports and other documentation, to include but not limited to weekly customer engagement reports.
Define meeting/presentation needs and ensure closure to actions.
Manage scheduling, agenda management and preparations for sector VIP visits.
Identify and secure venues and identify the support team, develop the event flow, prepare movement plans, and conduct facility walkthroughs to ensure site readiness.
Develop, manage and communicate event logistics with stakeholders to ensure the event/meeting aligns with overall strategic goals and objectives.
Ensure participants are prepared through dry-run visit/event preparation sessions and walkthroughs.
As needed, support the sector planning and execution of trade shows and special events.
Lead, refine, and train on the practices of the sector Customer Engagement Community of Practice (COP).
Maintain meeting and event records using various NGC tools.
Perform other Operations & Integrations activities, as needed.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of related professional experience - OR- a Master's degree and 3+ years of related conference planning experience. An additional four years of event or conference planning experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
Experience planning and executing customer visits, events, conference planning, and special activities.
Experience working with all levels in an organization.
Excellent critical thinking, organization, communication, and relationship-building skills.
Ability to manage expectations and activities of cross-matrixed teams and stakeholders.
Ability to demonstrate good judgment, professionalism and poise.
Ability to handle physical demands, such as standing and walking for long periods.
Training experience (formal or just-in-time on processes or tasks).
Capability to set priorities and work under pressure.
Strong oral and written communication, presentation, and collaboration skills.
A valid driver's license.
DoD Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret Clearance. US Citizenship is a prerequisite.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Capability to learn and use Salesforce.
Ability and willingness to travel 10% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience interfacing with customers, in particular high level government and military personnel (Legislators, SES, General/Flag officers).
Understanding and experience with policies and procedures compliance and International Trade Compliance requirements.
Familiarity with Salesforce.
Aerospace industry, government, or military experience.
Salary Range: 106568 - 159852
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.
