The Business Development Executive will be accountable for achieving business development goals that meet or exceed assigned targets. This role is responsible for identifying and engaging strategic opportunities, developing new business, and driving new high value solutions for the federal health market and other potential customers. This role is expected to continuously learn and demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Concept Plus offerings and services, financial drivers and constraints, and develop and maintain both industry and customer relationships that benefit the company. Concept Plus seeking senior, high energy, motivated, and competitive Business Development professional to be responsible for leading opportunity development from initiation to close within focused accounts. Duties include full lifecycle opportunity management and building relationships with key customers and partners.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Lead BD efforts for tactical and strategic opportunities resulting in the award of new business at the task order and major IDIQ/BPA/GWAC levels
- Leverage professional relationships, business development sources, and research tools such as (Beta.SAM.gov, FPDS, and GOVWIN) and to identify opportunities and develop capture strategies
- Qualify and prioritize opportunities within the pipeline while managing time and commitments to ensure opportunities move through the sales cycle
- Keep internal teams and stakeholders informed of changes in market conditions, trends, and competitive activity that will impact opportunity development and capture
- Support marketing efforts by assisting in the development of marketing collateral and briefings
- Contribute to the development of proposals through assistance with teaming, solutioning, win strategy development and color reviews
- Work with the pricing team to create competitive bids by understanding the bid cost structure and price to win
- Conduct competitive analysis for each opportunity and identify discriminators and win themes based on customer discussions and knowledge
- Implement capture process for task orders under existing, newly acquired, and future IDIQ contracts
- Develop and maintain prime/sub relationships to successfully bid tasks and realize task order revenue from IDIQ contracts
Required Qualifications:
- Proven and documented experience closing new business
- Demonstrated ability to penetrate new markets and capture new business
- Unquestionable integrity, credibility, and character
- Strong leadership, problem solving, decision-making abilities, and a can-do team success mentality
- Ability to interface and collaborate with senior executives
- Strong facilitation and communication skills - both written and verbal
- Minimum Education: Bachelor's Degree
- 5+ years of successful sales experience as Business Developer in the Federal marketplace
- 5+ years of experience using formal sales capture processes
