Job Description
SOSi is seeking a Recruiter to join our recruiting team in Reston, VA. The Recruiter will be responsible for handling the full lifecycle recruiting and must have a solid ability to multi-task, be organized, have a sense of urgency, and be forward-thinking. The ideal candidate will have experience sourcing passive and active candidates in the intelligence arena and recruiting former general military linguists/cultural advisors.
Responsibilities
- Accurately evaluating candidates based on core competencies and cultural fit.
- Build effective networks and relationships to maintain a strong pipeline of talent.
- Collaborates with hiring managers to determine position specifications, pre-screening questions, interview questions, and solve staffing challenges.
- Sources candidates through Internet job boards, subscription databases, newspaper advertisements, cold calling, job fairs, networking, referrals, and other creative candidate sourcing strategies.
- Pre-screens resumes, conducts initial interviews and evaluates candidates' suitability for presentation to hiring managers.
- Builds effective candidate networks and strong cross-functional relationships with Hiring Managers to support the needs of the business.
- Supports proposal preparation by recruiting key personnel, formatting resumes, and obtaining letters of commitment from contingent hires.
- Conducts reference checks.
- Maintains recruiting documentation required for OFCCP compliance.
- Contributes to special projects as required.
- Performs other duties assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree; additional years of relevant experience may be substituted in lieu of education.
- Three to five years in full lifecycle recruiting experience.
- Experience in recruiting Intelligence Analysts and other military roles.
- Experience with supporting proposal activities.
- Experience in the government contracting industry.
- Knowledge of employment laws and hiring practices.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Ability to multi-task and to organize and prioritize multiple on-going projects in a fast-paced, deadline-sensitive environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to speak with large groups of prospective candidates.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft Office Suite applications and hands-on familiarity with various recruiting sources and tools.
