Now hiring a SVP Operational Credit Risk for direct-hire!Trillium Accounting is now seeing a Direct hire SVP Operational Credit Risk for a growing Mortgage firm in Virginia. Compensation is $165,000 to 175,000 per year plus bonus. The Operational Credit Risk summarizes the chances and uncertainties a company faces while conducting its daily business activities, procedures, and systems. Operational Risk is heavily dependent on the human factor, mistakes, or failures due to actions or decisions made by a company's employees. Operational Credit Risk will identify any significant credit risks when applicable and communicate them with Senior Leaders. Following the strategic plans of the company, along with ongoing process reviews to ensure that systems, controls, processes, and personnel are put into place and/or staff properly trained to reduce the company overall risk. Qualifications and Responsibilities •Underwriting Department - Manage and direct oversight of VP UW Manager, supporting Credit, Collateral, Income Specialists and Condo Specialist positions. Ensure underwriters receive timely and effective training to ensure current agency, investor, regulatory and STM guidelines are met. Work with UW Manager to help develop an underwriting team that promotes critical thinking and decision-making skills and further promotes good communication skills with their business partners. Establish effective processes are put in place to ensure salability of all loan files. •Re-Purchase/Non-Purchase Loans - Manage the independent loan review process and rebuttal process for all "Non-Saleable" and/or "Re-purchase" loan requests while meeting timing requirements. •Monthly Neighborhood Watch - Review and audit monthly FHA Neighborhood Watch report. Review any new loans added from previous months report to determine trends or specific deficiency root cause. Work with COO, Director of Team Leads, VP of Underwriting to ensure polices, processes and procedures are put in place to eliminate defects or identifiable trends. Report monthly findings of each loan review findings that have been added since the last months report, to COO each month. Report monthly Neighborhood Watch and Lender Insurance numbers are reported monthly to the COO for publication at quarterly Board Meetings. •Product Development - Work with Capital Markets/Products Group and Project Manager to ensure that Products are developed and released in accordance with /Agency/Investor specific credit and collateral guidelines. Primary use of knowledge and expertise within this group is in underwriting Credit and Collateral. •UW Review Mandatory Loan Commitment - Work with Capital Markets Group to develop a loan level review process for sale of loans via mandatory commitments to aggregators and/or agencies If interested, please apply today!•Bachelor's Degree •Senior Level Underwriting Authority required •Detailed knowledge of mortgage banking regulations, rules, and guidelines for FNMA/FHLMC/FHA/VA/USDA/Investors •Good written and verbal communication skills •Knowledge of LOS System Mortgage Director a plus •Have basic knowledge and understanding of Mortgage Banking Regulations (i.e., Reg Z, Reg X, RESPA, TILA, ECOA etc.) #CBA
