Job description
Griffis Residential Associates are hard-working team players who genuinely care about delivering "It's about you" customer service quality to our customers, residents, and guests. Qualified candidates will demonstrate a proven positive attitude, basic marketing abilities, outstanding leasing and sales skills. Work priorities include the ability to organize administrative requirements, multi-task, communicate effectively, and lead by example.
As a Community Manager, you inspire teams to higher levels of performance, and your satisfaction comes from leading people and processes to improved results. Being a Community Manager at GR isn't like running any other apartment building, property management or real estate office. At GR, apartment management and property management is more than just a collection of tenants and units; it's a community that redefines property management.
As a Community Manager within GR, you are a Real Estate Manager and an Office Manager who leads GR efforts in the field and continues to shape and define a great experience for our residents, team members and vendors.
While outstanding customer service underlies our every interaction, as a Community Manager you will deal with resident escalations, marketing the property, motivating your sales team and delegating and ensuring that important items are completed in a timely manner.
Unlike other property management or real estate environments, GR gives you both the responsibility and the tools to achieve management success. As a Community Manager, you will also be responsible for:
- Financial management that includes P&L and operating budgets, capital improvements and expense reduction
- Sales leadership including increasing lease renewal and understanding competitive market landscape to ensure property is appropriately positioned with marketing materials
- Physical condition of the property-ensuring that aesthetic values are maximized, asset value is preserved and risks are minimized
- People leadership including recruiting, development and management of a high-performing team
Whether your background is property, real estate, hospitality, hotel or customer service management, your proven track record of leadership success enables you to make an immediate impact.
Whether it's hitting your budgets and creating accurate P&L forecasts, motivating your teams to even higher levels of performance or dealing with residents who just want to be heard, you enjoy the day-to-day challenges that come with managing a great community.
To be successful, in addition to a competitive spirit, you will need proven experience including:
- Previous experience in property, apartment, hotel, hospitality, restaurant or customer service management, including a track record of successful communication, budgeting and negotiating skills
- Accomplished at delivering world-class 5 star customer service and leading others in delivering outstanding customer service
- Proven success managing budgets, including capital budgets
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of applicable codes, laws and regulations (for example OSHA, EPA, ADA, Fair Housing, EEO)
- Experience operating computer systems for property and/or hotel operations, logistics, finance and inventory (OneSite)
- Directing human resources (HR) activities including employee relations, scheduling and staffing
- Bachelor's degree (preferred)
- Regular daytime business hours
- Demonstrated proficiency in Outlook, Excel, Word, and internet
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Perks/Benefits:
At GR we recognize that exceptional people need exceptional rewards. Beyond our competitive total compensation packages, your schedule at GR will provide you with a quality of life that is difficult to achieve within hospitality or hotel roles. Additionally, our benefits package reflects our respect for workplace contributions, professional goals and personal priorities.
Other benefits included:
- Company subsidized medical, vision and dental plans
- 401(k) plan with up to a 4% matching contribution
