Description

General Summary of Duties: The Develop and Engagement Assistant will provide direct support to the training team in the implementation of effective training strategies across the Agency. This role serves as the coordinator of all training initiatives within the organization and will be responsible for maintaining accurate records of attendance and participation in training and will ensure that staff remain current with training requirements.

Major Responsibilities/Tasks:

  • Assist the Development & Training Manager with the assessment of training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives.
  • Coordinate all training events:
    • Schedule facilitators/instructors
    • Room setup and teardown for onsite training
    • Ensure adequate technology support
    • Reserve venues when appropriate
  • Manage the Development Resource Library:
    • Maintain an inventory of all resources
    • Identify additional resources needed through the ongoing research of business and industry trends and soliciting ideas from staff and leaders
    • Ensure resources are relevant and in alignment with the organizational mission and values
  • Manage the online Learning Management System (LMS), employee and supervisor training for the system, and tracking within this system.
  • Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
  • May assist with various forms of training opportunities as requested by the Development and Engagement Manager.
  • Ensure that all employees remain in compliance with learning requirements and that courses are completed in a timely manner.
  • Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials as needed.
  • Evaluate program effectiveness through assessments, surveys, and feedback.
  • Tracks the training budget, maintains records and reports of expenses.
  • Will serve as backup to the Human Resources Assistant as needed.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED

EXPERIENCE: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)

At least two years of training experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

EDUCATION: Bachelors degree (In Human Resources, Training and Development or Related Field)

EXPERIENCE: Intermediate (minimum 3 years of job-related experience)
