Human Resources Analyst

$7/monthly DOE

The City of Camas, Washington is seeking a Human Resources Analyst. This is a non-represented position and is eligible for a full benefits package. Regular work schedule is normally Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm at City Hall, with flexibility including some remote work opportunity.

This newly created position will report to the Administrative Services Director and is responsible for providing comprehensive human resources services in all areas including benefits administration, classification and compensation, employee relations, employee development, wage and salary administration, recruitment and selection, leave administration, labor relations, and compliance with state and federal laws and regulations. This position exercises a substantial amount of independence, judgment and initiative.

In addition to the job description requirements, the preferred candidate will possess the following attributes: excellent interpersonal skills, excellent verbal and written communication skills, demonstrated organizational and decision making skills, ability to work with all sectors of the community - public, private, business, schools, and citizens, ability to be a strong team player and flexibility to work non-standard hours as needed.

The ideal candidate shall possess:

  • Education equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Human Resources, or related field. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Five years increasingly responsible professional experience in Human Resources including but not limited to recruitment, classification/compensation, benefits administration, employee relations, labor relations, or related areas. Public Sector experience preferred.
  • NPELRA Certified Labor Relations Professional (CLRP) and/or SHRM PHR certification preferred.
  • Valid Washington State Driver's License.
