The Human Resources Department contributes to the Tribe's organizational effectiveness by providing personnel services, which enhance the ability of individuals and divisions to do their jobs while providing the best possible services to the Nisqually Tribal Community.

We are looking for a HR Generalist who is trustworthy, able to maintain a high level of confidentiality, expertise with HR software, and strong communication skills. To be an ideal candidate for the HR Generalist position, you should be able to work autonomously and remain calm under pressure.

Work Environment:

Office-related work is primarily conducted in a temperature-controlled office. Our space includes traditional office lighting (including fluorescent lighting), as well as shared office spaces and facilities that result in consistent and frequent noise (moderate and often louder than ambient noise), conversations among employees and/or members, interruptions and other similar distractions.

Work Hours:

Monday through Friday, 8am - 5pm; however, based on events going on there will be times when evening or weekend work is required with little or no notice.

Requirements:

Associates Degree in related field. Two years of relevant work experience. If you have additional corresponding work experience, you may be considered for employment without the required Associates. Must have specialized experience, training or education in the field of human resources.

Responsibilities:

Provide information and advice to employees and the public on human resources policies, procedures, and services. HR Generalists are assigned multiple areas of human resource administration such as employment and recruitment, employee relations, benefits administration, human resources information management and/or training.
